Pebble just treated its Android users to an early Christmas present: An upcoming update that will bring Android Wear notifications to the smartwatch platform. The update, which is available now as a beta version, will be a major boost for the platform as it looks to compete with smartwatches from Google and Apple. Up until now, the vast majority of Pebble apps have not supported interactive notifications, which allow users to take action, like replying to an email or chat, from the watch itself. "The Pebble Android app uses actions baked into Wear-integrated apps already. If you can do it with Android Wear, you can do it with Pebble."
